The three of us have spent many years riding the mountains and open country of mid-Wales. We've worked together as trail guides introducing novice and experienced riders to the beauty of the Black Mountains. Last year we saw a note that challenged riders to cross the Namib Desert and raise money for Spinal Research. We didn't hesitate.
We then asked Josie if she'd like to be involved and lend her story to the project - she is an experienced horse rider who has incurred serious spinal injury. She thought we were nuts, but said yes anyway.
The ride is in June 2005 and is organized by "In The Saddle". On our website you will be able to follow our progress across the desert as we upload a daily journal and photos, track our fundraising, and have your name emblazoned in lights (and across our chests) if you become one of our business sponsors.
